Microbiologist

I am interested in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) of infectious and zoonotic pathogens because of the direct impact of AMR on public health. I completed my PhD at the University of Cambridge, UK, my MSc in Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology at the University of Westminster, London, and my first degree in Veterinary Medicine at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria.  I have participated in several outreach programmes, one of which sought to strengthen the participation of farmers in the fight against AMR.
