Plant Scientist

I’m from Prince Edward Island (PEI), Canada. Before my DPhil at Oxford, I did a BSc in biology at the University of PEI and a Masters in biology at the University of Montreal. I’ve had a keen interest in plants since I was a kid, but a chance research placement during my undergrad introduced me to research involving plants—and that’s what led me to a DPhil in Plant Sciences at Oxford. I now study plant roots and soil microbes. I want to know how soil microbes impact plant diversity.
