Demi Brizee

Neuroscientist

Ever since my days in medical school at the University of Rotterdam (The Netherlands), my fascination with the brain has driven my passion for neuroscience. To further explore this intriguing field, I joined the Brain Network Dynamics Unit for my DPhil studies here in Oxford. Through my current research, I aim to gain a deeper understanding of the brain’s physiology. Ultimately, these studies, combined with my medical training, will help me to unravel the complexities of neurological and psychiatric disorders.

In addition to my doctoral studies, I find great joy in sharing my enthusiasm for the brain with anyone who is curious to learn. Through the public outreach team of the Brain Network Dynamics Unit as well as accessible talks I aim to share how we push boundaries to gain a better understanding of the brain in health and disease.
