Chemistry PhD student
I got interested in chemistry at a young age, when one day in a science lesson we were shown the periodic table. It was a bit of a lightbulb moment, from then I knew I wanted to study the building blocks of the universe when I grew up. I completed my master’s in chemistry at the University of Bristol, before coming to Oxford to study for a PhD in inorganic chemistry supervised by Professors Darren Dixon and Simon Aldridge. My research looks to design new catalysts that can allow us to do difficult reactions, facilitating easier drug design and molecule synthesis.
