Lulu Shi
Sociologist
Lulu is a sociologist focusing on the intersection of education, work, and technology. She did her BA at the University of Zurich in Media and Communication, MSc at the London School of Economics in Sociology, and PhD at the University of Basel in Sociology. She is currently a lecturer at the Oxford University Department of Education and a research fellow at the Oxford Internet Institute. Her current projects include a British Academy-funded investigation into education technology (EdTech) and its role in transforming education, and DomesticAI, which looks at the transformation of paid and unpaid work in the age of AI and robotics. As a lecturer at the Department of Education, Lulu also teaches the MSc program Digital and Social Change and supervises MSc students.
