Yee Whye Teh
Machine Learning Researcher
I am a Professor of Statistical Machine Learning at the Department of Statistics of the University of Oxford, a Faculty Fellow at the Alan Turing Institute for Data Science and a Research Scientist at DeepMind working on Artificial Intelligence research. I obtained my Ph.D. at the University of Toronto, and did postdoctoral work at the University of California at Berkeley and the National University of Singapore. I was a Lecturer then a Reader at the Gatsby Computational Neuroscience Unit, UCL, before coming to Oxford.
I am interested in understanding what constitutes intelligence in humans, animals and computers, and the mathematical, statistical and computational foundations of learning from experiences.
